Dramatic Point-of-View is a specific style of writing in which the author chooses to only share the action of a scene and not the internal thoughts or emotions of a character. Some people refer to this as the “fly-on-the-wall” POV, where the narrator is a fly observing the events but not commenting upon them.

What you are describing is the climax of the story. Traditionally, stories begin with introducing characters and setting and such and the action builds toward some kind of conflict in the middle. The rest of the story tells the aftermath.

Read the excerpt from act 2 of A Doll's House.
valina [46]

Dramatic irony is a literary device in which the audience possesses information that the characters do not.

In the excerpt from "A Doll's House," by Henrik Ibsen, Nora pretends to be nervous about her dance at the party so that Helmer does not read Krogstad's letter in the mailbox. A feeling of tension is developed because the letter reveals unknown information to Helmer about how Nora forged her father's signature to obtain money for her husband's health treatment in Italy.
