Answer:

a hypothesis.

Explanation:

The student is considering a hypothesis.

A hypothesis is based on prior knowledge and observation. The statement of the student is something that can be supported or refuted through experimentation or observation for this reason it is a hypothesis. To know the falsifiability and testability the student have to derive predictions from the hypotheses about the results of future experiments, and then performing those experiments to see whether they support the predictions.

Which sequence correctly depicts the development of offspring?
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

The correct answer would be zygote...blastocyst...embryo...fetus.

The fertilization of sperm and egg results in the formation of zygote. It receives genetic material from a male as well as a female parent.

It divides with the help of mitotic divisions and results in the formation of 2, 4, 8, and 16 celled stages.

It results in the formation of the hollow spherical ball of cells termed as a blastocyst.  The cells are distributed to form the outer layer termed trophoblast and inner cell mass which gives rise to the embryo.

Trophoblast help in the implantation of the blastocyst into the uterine wall.

The cells of the embryo undergo organogenesis during different organs such as heart, brain, lungs et cetera are formed.

In humans, almost 9 weeks after the fertilization the developing embryo is considered a fetus.

The fetus development continues until birth.

What role did mycorrhizae play in the transition of plants to land?
Colt1911 [192]
Mycorrhizae are associations between fungi and the roots of plants, where the Fungi provides minerals to the plant. It enabled plants and fungi to be the first organisms to invade land successfully 430 million years ago. In most cases the relationship between host plants and the mycorrhizal fungus is mutualistic, or mutually beneficial. The Mycorrhizal fungi come into direct contact with plant roots and with the soil, adding to the plants ability to gather nutrients and water from the soil through the fungus.
