In the field of history a statement that must be proven with evidence Throughout an Essay or book is known as a
grigory [225]
Thesis

A thesis sets forth a proposition that then must be defended. The thesis may state something about the cause or causes of a particular historical event, or about effects or ramifications of historical events. Or it may be about motivating factors within a historical figure -- why someone acted the way they acted in their role in history. A thesis is not simply a statement of a fact that everyone agrees on. A thesis is an arguable claim, and the defense with evidence given for a thesis will want to address counter-claims (any counter-thesis) that someone else might argue.

How did the United Nations propose to govern Palestine after the British decided to end their mandate in the region?
lions [1.4K]

The correct answer is the following: option D. After the British decided to end their mandate in the Palestine region, The United Nations voted to divide Palestine into two states, one Arab and one Jewish. On November 29th of 1947, The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution in which Palestine was called to be divided between Arabs and Jews.

The plan proposed by the UN, partitioned Palestine in 3 Jewish sections, 4 Arab sections and the internationally administered city of Jerusalem. The voting went 33-13 in favor of the partition, having all of the Arab Nations walkout of the voting, as a sign of protest. Six months later, on May 14th, 1948, Jewish leaders formed the State of Israel.
