The right answer is glycolysis (anaerobic respiration).

The red blood cell is a cell that does not require much energy to live, it is content with anaerobic glycolysis. This may seem paradoxical, because the red blood cell is rich in oxygen due to its transport by hemoglobin, but the red blood cells saves energy consumption so as not to draw oxygen and transport the maximum of it.

The red blood cell must produce energy for 2 main purposes:

Maintain the integrity of the membrane,.

Maintain Hb in its active form.

Explain one adaptation that helps grasses succeed in grasslands
ehidna [41]

Answer:

Basal meristems

Explanation:

Meristems are the portion of plants able to generate any kind of new tissues. Therefore, the way plants keep their meristems protected is related to climate adaptation.

Grasslands tend to be arid ecosystems, so grasses have developed basal meristems, meaning they spend the dry season very close or under soil, where water evaporates slowlier than above surface, until wet season allows meristems to generate new stems and leaves.

This disposition is also useful in cases of fire and grazing, which are also frecuent in grasslands.

which of the following is an example of epithelial tissue? A) Bone B) Skin C) Fat D) Muscle User: which of the following tissue
lions [1.4K]
Answer B, skin, is an example of epithelial tissue. All other answer are examples of different types of tissue; Bone being osseous tissue, fat being connective tissue and muscle being muscle tissue. Nervous tissue is one of the types that has cells that expand across the entire human body. Nerves can be both long and reach every corner of the body. The other type of tissue that can cross the entire body is epithelial. This type of tissue does not produce large cells that span great distances on/in the body. But, these cells do provide the lining throughout the body and are the tissue that makes up the protective layer called skin. Both connective tissue and muscle tissue form large amounts of tissue in the body but they do not expand to all reaches of it.
