Two social science principles that I employ in my day to day life and that relate to increased longevity are effective coping mechanisms and significant social interaction.
These two factors play an important role in my lifestyle when compared to the areas of increased longevity. In the case of coping mechanisms, being able to deal with stress and difficulties in life can increase our longevity. People with effective coping mechanisms are less likely to suffer from stress and other negative emotions that accompany difficulties in life. This is significant, as such emotions can often cause health problems, decreasing our longevity.
The other principle that has an effect on longevity is that of social interaction. It has been shown that older people who establish meaningful relationships with others are more likely to live long lives. This is because the effects of loneliness and isolation can lead to negative feelings on a person, increasing their chances of having significant health problems.
Some people in the Middle East want to learn Western way and others don't. Though most of them are interested in having all the facilities, they are not interested to follow Western ways completely. And this is why in some parts of Middle East heavy resistance against the West can be seen among general population.
