The function h(t)=-4.92t^2+14.69t+575 is used to model an object being tossed from a tall building, where h(t) is the height in

meters and t is the time in seconds. Rounded to the nearest hundredth, what are the domain and range?

Given that equation modelling the height of the building is given by:
<span>h(t)=-4.92t^2+14.69t+575
plotting the equation (see the plot below)
The domain in all real numbers.

</span>Range: (h∈R: 196800h≤115317961)

Answer:

Domain is the set of all real numbers.

Range is the set of all real numbers h(t) such that h(t) ≤ 585.97

Step-by-step explanation:

Given function,

h(t)=-4.92t^2+14.69t+575,

Which is a polynomial,

∵ The domain of a polynomial is the set of all real numbers,

So, the domain of the given function is the set of all real numbers,

Now, the coefficient of t^2 is negative, so, it is an open downward parabola having vertex (1.493, 585.965),

Since the value of h(t) is maximum at its vertex,

Hence, the value of h(t) is less than or equal to 585.965,

Therefore, the range of the above function is set of all real numbers h(t) such that, h(t) ≤ 585.97

Help plz!!!<br> similiar triangles
Sati [7]

Answer:

x = 2

x = 17

Step-by-step explanation:

Triangle ADC can be similar to AEB by property of similar angles (vertices are corresponding)

AC/AB = AD/AE

(10 + x)/10 = 18/15

15(10 +x) = 180

15x + 150 = 180

15x = 30

   x = 2

Or

AD/AB = AC/AE

18/10 = (10+x) / 15

10(10+x) = 270

10x + 100 = 270

10x = 170

  x = 17

What’s the answer and how do i solve this geometry question ? “find the missing side length”
Ierofanga [76]
If im not wrong since the scale factor from A to B is 1:4, that means if you multiply 8 x 4
You will get 32, which is the size of B. Hope this helps!

Solve for each inequality. <br><br> 8 ≤ x - (-14)<br> 31 ≥ b - (-18)<br> -5 &lt; n + (-1)
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

8 \leqslant x - ( - 14) \\ 8 \leqslant x + 14 \\ 8 - 14 \leqslant x + 14 - 14 \\  - 6 \leqslant x \\ x \geqslant  - 6

___o__o__

31 \geqslant b - ( - 18) \\ 31 \geqslant b + 18 \\ 31 - 18 \geqslant b + 18 - 18 \\ 13 \geqslant b \\ b \leqslant 13

__o__o__

- 5 < n + ( - 1) \\  - 5 < n - 1 \\  - 5 + 1 < n - 1 + 1 \\  \\  - 4 < n \\ n >  - 4

I hope I helped you^_^

Daine simplified the expression below.
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

8(1 + 2i) -  (7 - 3i) = 8*1 + 8*2i + 7*(-1) - 3i*(-1)

                          = 8 + 16i -7 + 3i

                          = 8 - 7 + 16i + 3i

                          = 1 + 19i

Daniel forgot to multiply 2i by 8
