How many meters away is a cliff if an echo is heard 0.500 s after the original sound? Assume that sound traveled at 343 m/s on t
yaroslaw [1]
I believe the answer would be 171.5 because the 343m/s is the speed but it only lasted for half a second so divide 343 by 2 and you get 171.5. hope this helps

A 30° 60° 90° triangle is shown below. Find the length of the side labeled y.
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

Part 1) y=3\ units

Part 2) The length of the hypotenuse is 6 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1) we know that

In the right triangle of the figure

sin(60^o)=\frac{y}{2\sqrt{3}} ----> by SOH (opposite side divided by the hypotenuse)

solve for y

y=sin(60^o)2\sqrt{3}

Remember that

sin(60^o)=\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}

substitute

y=(\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2})2\sqrt{3}

y=3\ units

Part 2)

Let

h ----> the length of the hypotenuse

we know that

In the right triangle of the figure

sin(45^o)=\frac{3\sqrt{2}}{h} ----> by SOH (opposite side divided by the hypotenuse)

h=\frac{3\sqrt{2}}{sin(45^o)}

Remember that

sin(45^o)=\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

substitute

h=3\sqrt{2}:\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

h=6\ units

A sample of n = 8 scores has ss = 50. if these same scores were a population, then the ss value for the population would be ____
katen-ka-za [31]
<span>A sample of n=8 has an ss=50 if these were a population the ss value of the population would be (50/8) of the sample = 6.25 of sample. Usually, ss value of the population i s calculated by dividing ss by the sample values. This is the way to calculate ss value of the population.</span>
