Answer:

The virus in which RNA acts as a genetic material and no DNA is involved.

Explanation:

Central dogma was discovered by Crick. This central dogma explains the floe of genetic information from DNA to RNA to protein. DNA can be replicated by the process of replication.

Central dogma is applicable only for the protein coding genes. The virus that uses RNA dependent RNA polymerase that produces RNA form the RNA molecule and shows RNA replication. The DNA is not involved in their genetic process. Example : Cystoviridae, Reoviridae and Monoegavirales.

Which of the following provide the most readily available energy?
emmasim [6.3K]
The answer is a. carbohydrates. The amount of potential energy in the molecule depends on the number of C-H bonds in the molecule. Carbohydrates have more C-H bonds. Thus, they can serve as energy storage. Other macromolecules have less C-H bonds. Thus, when energy is needed immediately, complex carbohydrates break down to simple carbohydrates and the energy is released.

A student inoculates a gelatin tube and places it at 37C for the week. When he comes back he takes the tube out of the incubator
ycow [4]

Gelatin

Explanation:

Gelatin is a differential medium which tests the ability of an organism to produce an exoenzyme, called gelatinase (this enzyme hydrolyzes gelatin)

When gelatin is at a temperature below 32°C (or within a few degrees thereof), it is a semisolid material and at temperatures above 32°C, it is a viscous liquid

When gelatin is broken down, it can no longer solidify and if an organism can break down gelatin, the areas where the organism has grown will remain liquid even if the gelatin is refrigerated

No the conclusion by student is not right because the tube must be runny after incubation followed by refrigeration to be considered gelatinase positive
