Answer:- 0.0211 moles of air.

Solution:- This problem is based on an ideal gas law equation.

temperature, pressure and volume are given and asked to calculate the moles of the air. Standard pressure is 1.00 atm.

T = 15 + 273 = 288 K

P = 1.00 atm

V = 0.500 L

The ideal gas law equation is, PV = nRT

where R is the universal gas law constant and its value is 0.0821 atm.L per mol per K.

n is the number of moles and its what we are asked to calculate.

For n, the equation is rearranged as:

n=\frac{PV}{RT}

Let's plug in the values and do the calculations:

n=\frac{1.00atm*0.500L}{\frac{0.0821atm.K}{mol.K}*288K}

n = 0.0211 moles

So, there are 0.0211 moles of the air in the bottle.

The lower the ignition temperature, better the fuel. True or false?Why?
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

This means the fuel is highly flammable hence it has a low ignition temperature. This, therefore, means it burns fast without putting in a lot of energy to ignite it. Even in cars, therefore, the compression ratios, in engines using these of these fuels, is lesser.

An element crystallizes in a face-centered cubic lattice. If the length of an edge of the unit cell is 0.408 nm, and the density
V125BC [204]

Answer:

Au

Explanation:

For the density of a face-centered cubic:

Density = \dfrac{4 \times M_w}{N_A \times a^3}

where

M_w = molar mass of the compound

N_A= avogadro's constant

a^3 = the volume of a unit cell

Given that:

Density (\rho) = 19.30 g/cm³

a = 0.408 nm

a = 0.408 \times 10^{-9} \times 10^{2} \ cm

a = 4.08 \times 10^ {-8} \ cm

∴

19.3 = \dfrac{4 \times M_w}{(6.023 \tmes 10^{23})\times (4.08 \times 10^{-8})^3}

M_w= \dfrac{19.3\times (6.023 \times 10^{23})\times (4.08 \times 10^{-8})^3}{4}

M_w=197.37 \ g/mol

Thus, the molar mass of 197.37 g/mol element is Gold (Au).

What does that number of protons tell you
bogdanovich [222]
The number of protons tells you which element the atom is. The number of protons is the element number (Hydrogen - 1, Helium - 2, etc.).
