It used most of the water towards the farm, meaning less water for them to drink.

Northwest Territory of the USA and in doing so established the basis of
many of the amendments to the constitution later laid down as part of
the Bill of Rights (including the Abolition of Slavery).
There was no single event that ended the Great Depression, but most would agree it was a combination of New Deal policies, and World War II (which created soaring demand for materials and thus jobs in the United States) that ended the Great Depression.
