All of the same atoms make up elements. It's the arrangement of these atoms that really matters. Your answer is true, an atom that makes up gold will indeed be the same atom that makes up silver.

Atoms are just mostly empty space, in fact about 99.99 infinitely percent of an atom is just empty space. We don't actually touch anything, not really. You never make solid contact with an object, but in fact what you're touching is that objects electrostatic field, or otherwise known as it's electron shell. You don't simply pass through an object because like charges repel eachother, the shell and your atoms, which creates the illusion that you're actually touching the object, when in fact your just touching it's invisible electrostatic shell.

If an atom gains an electron, it will have a NEGATIVE charge. Protons are positive charges, neutrons are neutral charges, electrons are negative charges. Add an electron that out-weighs the net-charge, which is 0, then you'll have an anion, or a negative charge.

The nucleus of an atom is indeed the center of an atom, the most dense area. This carries all of the weight (practically). The nucleus is indeed made up of positive and neutral charges, with an outer shell of negative charges. This is true.

Explain how a sprinter gets energy during a 30-second race. Is the process aerobic or anaerobic? How does it
lord [1]

Answer:

sprint runners rely on lactic acid fermentation as there main source of energy, printing takes a lot of effort and a lot of big movements  and a lot energy on demand . cellular respiration makes ATP at a slower rate than lactic fermentation therefore it is anaerobic

Explanation:

the sprinter uses ATP already in muscles as well as ATP produced by lactic acid fermentation. A long-distance runner gets its ATP solely off of cellular respiration

hope this helps

If you cut your knee, pus, which is caused by _____, may form
Ipatiy [6.2K]
Through my research I found questions similar to this with answer choices:

A) medicinal material excreted by macrophages
B) the death of macrophages
C) pathogens trying to infect the area
D) blood cells losing their hemoglobin

The best answer among the following choices would be the second option aka B) The death of Macrophages because cutting your knee is cutting your skin since something sharp went through the layers it basically killed things in order to get to you, to make you feel the pain, so as a result of the cut, it killed the macrophages, which are like your security system for your immune system that protects you, but the cut broke through and harmed the skin.

In airports the control tower functions in directing air traffic and keeping all flights running smoothly like a command center.
STatiana [176]
The nucleus would be like the command center in the cell, because it monitors the cells functions and keeps everything "running smoothly".
