That was the name given to several acts of the British Parliament that requested local governments on America, to give food and shelter to british soldiers. It happened shortly after the French and Indian wars, and it was a way to control, and solve the issues in America. However, this result was not achieved, and the acts were among the first of a series of events that ended with the American Revolution.
