What is the probaility that a voter chooses a liberal in state B?

Let us see the total amount of voters in state B. This is equal to 35 according to the graph. Out of them, 20 voted for the liberal candidate. If we randomly pick a person in state B, chances are hence 20/35 that he votes for the liberal candidate. Probability is defined as the ratio of positive outcomes over all possible outcomes. Here, a positive outcome is voting for the liberal candidate and all outcomes are the voters of state B. 20/35 is equal to 5/7 or around 71%.

the expression (4^p*4^1)^3 simplifies to 4^15. Eric was asked to find the value of p and said the answer is p=11. Is Eric correc
notka56 [123]

(4^p*4^1)^3  = 4^15

add the exponents

(4^(p+1))^3 = 4^15

power to the power means multiply

(4^3(p+1)) = 4^15

the bases are the same so the powers have to be the same

3(p+1)) = 15

divide by 3

p+1 =5

subtract 1

p=4

Eric is incorrect.  p=4

Put the following equation of a line into slope-intercept form, simplifying all fractions.
baherus [9]

Answer: y=-3/2x+3

Step-by-step explanation:

First subtract 3x from both sides to start isolating the y.

Then you get 2y=-3x+6

Divide both sides by 2 to get y alone and you get

y=-3/2x+3
