what larger shift was indicated by women beginning to serve as secretaries and radio operators in the us navy
EleoNora [17]
I found these choices on the internet:
Women were starting to take on more involved roles.
The navy was removing women from active combat.
Military leaders were beginning to put women in command.
More women than men were serving in the military.

The answer would be Women were starting to take on more involved roles.

Women roles quickly change because of the war. More than 100,000 women worked in the Women's Army Corps during World War II, which later became recognized as the Women’s Army Corps. Women also participated in the United States Navy.

How were public lands in the West divided by the land ordinance of 1785
Usimov [2.4K]
The public lands in the West were divided into township as per the land ordinance of 1785. Those townships had a total area of 36 square miles and that in turn got divided into 36 lots of 640 acres each. for every such township, one lot was always reserved for schools to be made while three lots were kept for the veterans. the remaining lots were sold to the public. This land ordinance of 1785 was adopted by the Continental Congress on May 20 of the year 1985. This ordinance remained in effect and formed the foundation for the Homestead Act in the year 1862.
