You need to work out what an eight  of 24 is:

 \frac{1}{8}  *  \frac{24}{1}=  \frac{24}{8} =  \frac{3}{1}

Then you simply multiply 3 by 3 (as it is three eights not one) to get 9, so your answer is 9.\frac{1}{8}  *  \frac{24}{1}
=  \frac{24}{8} =  \frac{3}{1}

What is the fully simplified answer to sqrt(7/18) + sqrt(5/8) - sqrt(7/2)
NeX [460]

Answer:

=\frac{-4\sqrt{7}+3\sqrt{5}}{6\sqrt{2}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given expression as:

=\sqrt{\frac{7}{18}}+\sqrt{\frac{5}{8}}-\sqrt{\frac{7}{2} }

We need to simplify the given expression.

Solution:

We have:

=\sqrt{\frac{7}{18}}+\sqrt{\frac{5}{8}}-\sqrt{\frac{7}{2} }

Rewrite the expression as:

=\frac{\sqrt{7}}{3\sqrt{2}} - \frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{2}} +\frac{\sqrt{5}}{2\sqrt{2}}

\frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{2} } is a common factor to the first two terms.

Using distributive property we can factor out \frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{2} } from the first two terms.

=\frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{2}}(\frac{1}{3} -1)  +\frac{\sqrt{5}}{2\sqrt{2}}

=\frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{2}}(\frac{1-3}{3})  +\frac{\sqrt{5}}{2\sqrt{2}}

=\frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{2}}(\frac{-2}{3})  +\frac{\sqrt{5}}{2\sqrt{2}}

=-\frac{2\sqrt{7}}{3\sqrt{2}} +\frac{\sqrt{5}}{2\sqrt{2}}

\sqrt{2} is common factor, so we can factor \sqrt{2} from the above expression.

=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2} }( -\frac{2\sqrt{7}}{3} +\frac{\sqrt{5}}{2})

=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2} }( \frac{-2\times 2\sqrt{7}+3\times \sqrt{5}}{6})

=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2} }( \frac{-4\sqrt{7}+3\sqrt{5}}{6})

=\frac{-4\sqrt{7}+3\sqrt{5}}{6\sqrt{2}}

Therefore, we get simplified answer as.

=\frac{-4\sqrt{7}+3\sqrt{5}}{6\sqrt{2}}

The equation of the line with a slope of 6 and y-intercept of -1 is:
Andrew [12]

Answer:

\bold{y=6x-1}

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there!

Since we are given the slope and the y-intercept of the line, we can very easily identify the equation of the line.

Slope-intercept:

y=mx+b

Plug in the values:

\bold{y=6x-1}

Thus, \bold{y=6x-1} is the equation of the line.

Hope it helps! Enjoy your day!

Write a real-world situation that could be modeled by the equation 24/y=3. Then solve the problem. Anyone plz help me.
Bogdan [553]
Bobby has 24 pizza slices
he divided them among his friends and each friend got 3 pieces
how many friends did he have

so
24 divided by number of friends=3
24/y=3
multiply both sides by y
24y/y=3y
24 times y/y=3y
24 times 1=3y
24=3y
divide both sides by 3
24/3=3y/3
8=3/3y
8=1y

y=8
