Skeletal muscle has ____________ cells with multiple nuclei. It functions in ____________ movement of the body. Skeletal muscle
vichka [17]

Answer:

The correct answer will be

1. Striated

2. Multiple

3. Broken down

4. Tendon

Explanation:

Skeletal muscles are the voluntary muscles found in the human body.

These muscles are made up of muscle fibers or muscle cells which look striated in appearance with many peripheral nuclei. The muscle helps in the locomotion of the body through controlled actions which help in the multiple types of movement.

The muscle moves when it receives impulse signals from the CNS which leads to the utilization of the ATP, the ATP is broken down which helps in the contraction of the muscle. The muscle is connected to the bone via a connective tissue called tendon, as the muscle contracts, it moves the tendon which helps in the locomotion.

Thus, the marked answers are the correct options.

In cell signaling, after a signal is sent, _______\.\* 2 points a. some activity in a target cell changes b. signal molecules bi
Leto [7]

In cell signalling, after a signal is sent, signal molecules bind to receptors on target cells and some activity in a target cell changes.

There are three stages in cell signalling :

1. The process of reception occurs when a signalling molecule from the extracellular environment is recognized by a cell. The chemical signal, which is also known as a ligand, is recognized as a signal when it attaches to a receptor protein either on the exterior of the cell or on the interior of the cell.

2. Transduction: This process occurs when the signalling molecule interacts with the receptor, which causes a change in the protein that makes up the receptor. The process of transduction is kicked off by this modification. In most cases, signal transduction occurs through a pathway that consists of numerous stages. The signal transduction route contains relay molecules, each of which influences the subsequent molecule in the pathway.

3. Reaction: In the third and last step, the signal causes a certain cellular response.
