2x + 3y = 1470
3y = -2x + 1470 (subtract 2x from both sides of the equation)
y = - \frac{2}{3} x+490 (divide each term by 3 and simplify)

To graph this equation I would first plot 490 on the y - axis. From that point on the y-axis move down vertically 2 units, and then go right 3 units and place a 2nd point at this location.

Function notation: f(x)=- \frac{2}{3} x+490

Sovle the equation for x0.5x-4=12
Amanda [17]

Value of x is x=32

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the value of x of the equation 0.5x-4=12

Solving the equation and finding value of x

0.5x-4=12\\

Adding 4 on both sides

0.5x-4+4=12+4\\0.5x=16\\

Divide both sides by 0.5

\frac{0.5x}{0.5} =\frac{16}{0.5}\\ x=32

So, value of x is x=32

Lynna [10]
The slope of the line that passes through the points (14/5) and (20, -4), so you take y-y/x-x so you substitute the y's in for 5 and -4 and x in for 14 and 20.

5--4/ 14-20
