of hot dogs sold. Find the number of sodas and the number of hot dogs sold.

So then soda would be 2x ( two times as much).


Now you have:

X + 2X = 162

Simplify:

3x = 162

Divide both sides by 3:

X =162 / 3

X = 54

2x = 54 *2 = 108


108 sodas and 54 hot dogs were sold.
