Why do mosses grow well in the Arctic tundra?

Biology

Te correct answer is that they do not have true roots.

The soil in the tundra is frozen to the surface most of the year and only the surface layer thaws in summer. The depth of the thaw will determine how far the roots of the plants will be able to deepen. That is why there are no trees in the tundra, since their roots cannot develop. Therefore, the mosses find their niche in these areas, since they do not have true roots, but rhizoids whose main function is the fixation to the substrate, and do not need more than a few millimeters deep for it. It is important to clarify that the vegetation in the tundra is of low height, squatted, since not only must they withstand low temperatures, but they must withstand strong blizzards. Mosses and lichens predominate in these areas.

What is the relationship between evidence, conclusions and theories.will mark brainliest
Pie

Answer:

They are inter-related with each other.

Explanation:

There is a great relationship present between evidence, conclusions and theories because evidences are those materials due to which a hypothesis can be verified and we can draw conclusion. When we repeat the same experiment and find out the same conclusion so it becomes theory and when these theories can't change with the passage of time, it becomes law. So evidence, conclusions and theories are inter-related to each other.

7. It is a criticism of many population ecologists that the pattern of population increase
Komok [63]

Answer: Disagree

Explanation:

I tend to disagree with this statement because predators actually have a place in ecosystems to keep prey species from becoming overpopulated, hence, the extent of the overpopulation would likely have been much less if the natural predators were allowed to play a role in controlling the deer population.

Which trait is present in apes but absent in hominins? group of answer choices dental gap diastema gingival space mesial bridge
AfilCa [17]

The trait of the dental gap is present in apes but absent in hominins.

What do you understand by hominins?

The term "hominin" refers to a group that includes all living humans, all extinct human species, and all of our direct predecessors (including members of the genera Homo, Australopithecus, Paranthropus, and Ardipithecus). Sahelanthropus, Orrorin, and Ardipithecus are the earliest hominins. Many characteristics that set humans apart from other primates were absent in the ancestors of the human lineage. Sahelanthropus tchadensis from the Chad and Orrorin tugenensis from Kenya are the oldest hominins that are currently known. The skull of Sahelanthropus, which dates to between 6 and 7 mya, is mostly complete, and there are also some additional fragmentary bones.
