A 2 kilogram object is moving horizontally with a speed of 4m/s. How much net force is required to keep the object moving at thi
zhenek [66]
IF there is no friction against the moving object (impossible in real life),
then it takes NO force to keep the object moving at a constant speed
in a straight line.

It takes force only to CHANGE the object's motion ... speed it up, slow
it down, or change its direction.

An object moving at 38m/s takes 6s to come to a stop. What is the object's acceleration? _______m/s2
bearhunter [10]
Final velocity = 0m/s
Initial velocity = 38m/s

Acceleration = 0-38/6 = -38/6 = -6.33m/s2
