First, the denominator is the amount of subjects (for example colors). Say the question is find the probability of red. Say there is 4 blue dots, 9 red dots, 2 yellow dots, and 3 orange dots. The denominator would be 18 (the amount of dots). The numerator would be 9 because that is how many dots that were red are there. The answer would be 9/18 = 1/2. I hope his helps :)

Solve 3x^2 +11x+6=0<br><br> Answers <br><br> -2/3,-3<br><br> 2/3,3<br><br> 0
Annette [7]

Answer: First Option

x_1=-\frac{2}{3} and  x_2=-3

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the following quadratic equation:

3x^2 +11x+6=0

To solve this equation use the quadratic formula

For an equation of the form:

ax ^ 2 + bx + c = 0

The quadratic formula is:

x=\frac{-b\±\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

Note that in this case: a=3,\ b=11,\ c=6

Then:

x=\frac{-11\±\sqrt{11^2-4(3)(6)}}{2(3)}

x=\frac{-11\±\sqrt{121-72}}{6}

x=\frac{-11\±\sqrt{49}}{6}

x=\frac{-11\±7}{6}

x_1=\frac{-11+7}{6}

x_1=-\frac{2}{3}

x_2=\frac{-11-7}{6}

x_2=\frac{-18}{6}

x_2=-3

The solutions are: x_1=-\frac{2}{3} and  x_2=-3

Rina8888 [55]

The number should be divided by 32 to get 64 is 1/2 .

Given :

number should be divided by 32 to get 64 .

Let x be the number.

Number :

A number is an arithmetic value used for representing the quantity and used in making calculations .

64 = 32 / x

64 / 1 = 32 / x

cross multiplication

64 * x = 32 * 1

64 x = 32

divide by 64 on both sides

64x / 64 = 32 / 64

x = 32 / 64

x = 1/2

Therefore the number 1/2 should be divided by 32 to get 64.
