Select all the correct answers. What are two factors that prompted thousands of Jews to settle in Palestine immediately after Wo
kkurt [141]

Not immediately after World war 2, but after world war 1 and after the creation of the state of Israel,

Considering the mistake in the question, it is after world war 1, in 1917 and afterwards that, large number of Jews moved to  Palestine for the following reasons;

• The Ottoman's who expelled Jews after overtooking the region, had been defeated by the British, which encouraged the refugees to move to heir homeland.

• Britain had made a promise of making a separate nation for Jews, as per the Belfour Declaration of 1917, which gave a hope to the Jews to be free from opression and have their own rule and nation.

From 1920-1923, around 40,000 Jews went to Palestine, and, in 1924-1928 and estimated 80,000 Jews went to Palestine, and in the period 1929-1939, again Palestine had witnessed an immigration of  over 300000 Jews.

In 1947 several Jews who were residing around the world moved to the newly formed nation, by the Partition of Palestine into two states one Arab and another Jewish.
