Answer:

probability of having offspring with the aabb genotype: 1/16

Explanation:

The  cross  of  heterozygous  AaBb as  parental  phenotype led   to  formation  of  16  phenotype   of  the  offspring. This  is  because  this  is  dihybrid   form  of inheritance .The   probability  of  having  aabb   offspring  is  1/16  since   there  is  only  one  aabb  type  of  offspring  phenotype  out  of  the  16.

Check all the boxes that accurately describe importances of phosphorous and the phosphorus cycle * 10 points
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

The correct options are:

Phosphorous is a component of Dna and Rna

Phosphorous is a significant component in the make up of the phospholipid bilayer

Phosphorous is a key nutrient to increase crop yields

Explanation:

Phosphorus is a chemical element denoted by (P) that plays a vital role in tye structural characteristics of many biomolecules in a living cell. They are very important in an ecosystem and some of them are:

1. Phosphorous is a component of Dna and Rna - DNA and RNA are the two nucleic acids (biomolecules) known. Like every other biomolecule, they also are polymers made up of monomeric units called NUCLEOTIDE. A nucleotide is the building block of nucleic acids. The structure of a nucleotide consists of a pentose sugar (ribose in RNA, Deoxyribose in DNA), Nitrogenous bases (Adenine, Guanine, Cytosine and Thymine) and a phosphate group (PO43-). The phosphate part of the nucleotide is made up of a Phosphorus atom surrounded by four oxygen atoms.

2. Phosphorous is a significant component in the make up of the phospholipid bilayer - The plasma membrane of living cells has been described by the fluid mosaic model to contain a phospholipid bilayer. The phospholipid layer is AMPHIPATHIC i.e. contains water-fearing (hydrophobic) and water-loving (hydrophilic) regions. The water-loving part of the phospholipid bilayer is structurally made up of a phosphate head. The phosphate group here is also a Phosphorus atom surrounded by four oxygen atoms.

3. Phosphorous is a key nutrient to increase crop yields - Plants require certain nutrients that they absorb via their roots alongside water. Phosphorus is a macronutrient needed by plants for growth and development of. It is a major component of the nucleic acids, ATP in their cell.

4) If a dead organism is preserved as a fossil, which body tissues are most likely to survive? Why?
IrinaVladis [17]
The answer is hard tissue.

Usually, hard tissue, such as bones and teeth or exoskeleton is much more preserved than soft tissue (organs, skin, etc.). Fossils become fossils by a process of mineralization. Hard tissues are more mineralized during life than organs. So it is no surprise that hard tissues take part in the process of mineralization and is preserved in fossils, unlike soft tissues.

Eleanor is testing how temperature affects the hatching of chicken eggs. She has three groups of eggs, one each at 25°C (77°F),
Sever21 [200]
It's then independent variable.

This is the case because Eleanor is making these temperature changes.

Extra info.

The dependen variable would then be the result of hatching. This is the case because it depends on the different temperature to see what the effect of temperature change is affecting the time of hatching
