If the moon were to suddenly disappear, which of the following would be a likely result? (Select all that apply)
solniwko [45]

Answer:

A. Fishing for sea life that lives on or near the shore would be more difficult.

C. The California Grunion fish would have a hard time laying eggs.

Explanation:

The moon is an important aspect of Earth's existence. It influences the change of "ocean tides" (high tide and low tide). If the moon were to suddenly disappear it will present a number of problems.

Firstly, the tides would all remain the same (small tides). They would also be smaller than the usual tide in the world today. Since the tide will be lower than usual, the marine organisms will not survive living on or near the shore anymore. This will make fishing for sea life in these areas more difficult.

The "California Grunion fish" normally lays its eggs along the coastal areas, which is out of the water. If the tide will be lower than usual, then they will have a hard time going to the coastlines for laying eggs.

So, this explains the answers.
