I feel like this question is asking for U.S and Canada, but to be honest, this question is a little biased. Both countries have some social problems and excluded groups for which the standard of living is low; and there is a lot of income inequality which leaves many people in desperate situations.

Yet, U.S and Canada have for example longer life expectancy than Mexico and Greenland.
