Answer:

The mean is 39

The median is 42

Step-by-step explanation:

The median is the best measure of center for the above data because half of the values are less than the median and half of the values are more than the median. It's probably the best measure of center to use in a skewed distribution.

The measure of variability is the range because is the simplest measure of variability to calculate but can be misleading if the dataset contains extreme values.

The variability is 67.25

likoan [24]

Answer:

Exam score

Step-by-step explanation:

The response variable also known as the d pendent variable, is simply the variable we intend to measure based in a set of variables (independent variables or explanatory variables) which might cause it to change. For instance, the scenario above aims to look into how a certain relaxation method will affect the exam score, here, the variable we intend to measure is the response variable which is exam score. The exam score is affected by the impact the relaxation method has on the student, hence, the relaxation method is the independent or explanatory variable.

Three vertices of a parallelogram are shown in the figure below. Give the coordinates of the fourth vertex.
topjm [15]

Given:

The three vertices of a parallelogram are (-3,8), (4,5), (2,-5).

To find:

The fourth vertex of the parallelogram.

Solution:

Let the vertices of the parallelogram are A(-3,8), B(4,5), C(2,-5) and D(a,b).

We know that, diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other. It means midpoints of both diagonals are same.

Midpoint formula:

Midpoint=\left(\dfrac{x_1+x_2}{2},\dfrac{y_1+y_2}{2}\right)

Two diagonals of ABCD are AC and BD.

Midpoint of AC = Midpoint of BD

\left(\dfrac{-3+2}{2},\dfrac{8-5}{2}\right)=\left(\dfrac{4+a}{2},\dfrac{5+b}{2}\right)

\left(\dfrac{-1}{2},\dfrac{3}{2}\right)=\left(\dfrac{4+a}{2},\dfrac{5+b}{2}\right)

On comparing both sides, we get

\dfrac{4+a}{2}=\dfrac{-1}{2}

4+a=-1

a=-1-4

a=-5

And,

\dfrac{5+b}{2}=\dfrac{3}{2}

5+b=3

b=3-5

b=-2

Therefore, the coordinates of fourth vertex are (-5,-2).

Strike441 [17]

The valid prediction for the mean of the population possible using these samples is C. Yes, the variation of the sample means is small

<h3>What is a sample mean?</h3>

It should be noted that a sample mean is an average of a set of data . Also, the sample mean can be used to calculate the standard deviation, central tendency, and the variance of a data set.

The sample mean can be applied to a variety of uses, including calculating population averages.

Here, the sample variance is a measure of the degree to which the numbers in a list are spread out. Here, the numbers given are close to each other.

If the numbers in a list are all close to the expected values, the variance will be small and if they are far away, the variance will be large.

Therefore, the correct option is C.
