Given :

A local company offers a monthly plan for 58.95 dollars.

The company is having a sale and offering a discount of 4.75 off the monthly plan.

To Find :

Sam says that the new cost is 11.45 explain Sam's error and find the correct new cost.

Solution :

Correct cost = Original price - Discount offered

Correct cost = $( 58.95 - 4.75 )

Correct cost = $54.2 .

Now, Sam's cost is $11.45 because he took $4.75 as $47.5 .

Hence, this is the required solution.

Sears sells a sweater for $69 and has a 60% markup on the selling price what is the cost of the sweater to Sears
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

$43.13

Step-by-step explanation:

The original price plus the markup = selling  price

The markup = original price * percent markup

So

selling price = original price + original price* percent markup

Factoring out the original price

selling price = original price (1+ percent markup)

Substituting what we know)

69 = original price (1+.60)

69 = original price(1.6)

Divide both sides by 1.6

69/1.6 = original price

43.125 = original price

We round money to the nearest cent

$43.13

A)

Since we're dealing with an isoseles triangle you know that the bottom two angles are congruent (A&B).
Also you know that line CM creates a midpoint in line AB and also biscects angle C. There you have all three angles so D is out along with B. Now to Illiminate C we know that line CM is shared so that's one side, because line CM creates a mid point in line AB lines AM and BM are congruent so that's the second side and if we look at the triangle as one isoseles again we know that the two upper sides are congruent, that's the last side to illiminate C. Leaving us with A, the dont give us any measurements so you aren't able to look at the heights and lengths.
