Step-by-step explanation:

For example, 1/2 and 2/4 are equivalent fractions. If you simplify 2/4 by dividing both the numerator and denominator by 2, you'll get 1/2, the same as the other one. Remember, our number line is a line with evenly spaced tick marks that show us our numbers.

I need help with this problem about constructing parallels and perpendiculars
laila [671]
To make perpendicular lines use your compass and make it over half the length of the bottom line. Make an ark on both sides of the line. then repeat on the opposite side of the line. Your two arks should have intersected at two points. Then us your straight edge to connect the two points. This video should help with the parallel lines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im81vHIhZS8

Use the information about nutrition on page 173 to explain how linear equations can be used in nutrition. Explain how you could
alex41 [277]

Answer: By looking at several aspects of the Nutrition Information, such as the Serving Size, Total Calories and the Nutrition Terms, you can limit how much fat your body takes in. For instance, looking at the serving size is the first thing you should do. By looking at the serving size, you can determine how much calories, vitamins, cholesterol, etc you will take in. The next step is to check the total amount of calories the food/drink has. To truly limit your fat intake, you want to pay attention how much calories the food is and compare it to how much you ate/drank today. Lastly make sure you pay attention on how much cholesterol and saturated fat to minimize your fat intake.

Is 36 yards 2 feet greater than less then or equal to 114 feet 2 inches
Rudik [331]
It would be less then because, first we need to convert yards into feet which the formula for doing that is 3 feet per yard so if you have 36 yards you would take 36*3=108 then you would add 2 feet because there are 2 extra feet to add on to the end of this question. Like so 108+2=110 then we see which one is bigger 114<110 does not work out and 114=110 is no true but 114>110 is correct and works out to be true therefore your answer is 114 and 2 inches is bigger then 26 yards and 2 feet.

Evaluate the summation of 3 times negative 2 to the n minus 1 power, from n equals 1 to 5.
Zanzabum
The answer is C.33

3 * (-2)ⁿ⁻¹
n = 1; 3 * (-2)¹⁻¹ = 3 * (-2)⁰ = 3 * 1 = 3
n = 2; 3 * (-2)²⁻¹ = 3 * (-2)¹ = 3 * (-2) = -6
n = 3; 3 * (-2)³⁻¹ = 3 * (-2)² = 3 * 4 = 12
n = 4; 3 * (-2)⁴⁻¹ = 3 * (-2)³ = 3 * (-8) = -24
n = 5; 3 * (-2)⁵⁻¹ = 3 * (-2)⁴ = 3 * 16 = 48

The sum is:
3 + (-6) + 12 + (-24) + 48 = 3 - 6 + 12 - 24 + 48 = 33
