Irrational because square root of 15 is irrational

I think 12.6189
because 3<span>√15=11.6189
11.6189+1=12.6189</span>

What transformations are needed to change the parent cosine function to y=3cos(10(x-pi))?
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

The graph of y=cos(x) is:

*Stretched vertically by a factor of 3

*Compressed horizontally by a factor  \frac{1}{10} .

*Moves horizontally \pi units to the rigth

The transformation is:

y=3f(10(x-\pi))

Step-by-step explanation:

If  the function y=cf(h(x+b))  represents the transformations made to the graph of y= f(x)  then, by definition:

If  0 then the graph is compressed vertically by a factor c.

If  |c| > 1 then the graph is stretched vertically by a factor c

If c  then the graph is reflected on the x axis.

If b> 0 The graph moves horizontally b units to the left

If b The graph moves horizontally b units to the rigth

If 0 the graph is stretched horizontally  by a factor \frac{1}{h}

If h> 1 the graph is compressed horizontally by a factor \frac{1}{h}

In this problem we have the function y=3cos(10(x-pi)) and our parent function is y = cos(x)

The transformation is:

y=3f(10(x-\pi))

Then c =3>1  and b =-\pi < 0 and h=10 > 1

Therefore the graph of y=cos(x) is:

Stretched vertically by a factor of 3.

Also as h=10 the graph is compressed horizontally by a factor  \frac{1}{10} .

Also, as b =-\pi < 0 The graph moves horizontally \pi units to the rigth

(YOU WILL BE MARKED BRAINLIEST IF YOU WRITE A SHORT STORY FOR THIS MATH PROBLEM!!)
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

  Once upon a time a troll was walking down a deep dark hallway, there was no light anywhere that he could see and he was starting to get scared of what could happen to him. But then out of the blue he saw something, something was would change his life forever, he saw a pigeon. Now you might think "Oh, a pigeon, how could that have changed his life?' Now the answer is kind of mundane but is deeper than you might think. The simple answer as to why the pigeon would change his life is because it gave the troll hope, hope that there is an exit. You see, the troll thought if the pigeon found there way into this pitch black hallway, then there must be a way in and hence a way out.

  Now listen here, there's something that I wasn't telling you at the beginning of the story about the pigeon, the pigeon was also glowing. This is very useful obviously because it gave the troll some kind of light. Again, it gave the troll hope. Now, being a troll you might think that he would just snatch the pigeon and hold it for light, but this troll wasn't like other trolls, he had the capability to think before he used brute force to change something. So what the troll though was "If I just follow the pigeon then it might lead me to the exit because they have natural navigation in their brains"

 Let's skip a while into the future, the troll followed and followed the pigeon for what felt like days, but in reality it was more like 3 hours. But then, the troll saw something that he thought he would never see again; sun light. As soon as the troll saw this, he started running and running towards the light, but as fast as he was running, the light seemed to get farther and farther away from him, then... POOF the troll was gone...

  The troll found himself in a very lit up room, almost pure white all around him, which scorched his eyes because he was just in a pitch black room for hours. His ears were ringing and he was in pain, after a while all of that stopped, he was able to see clearly, he felt great, and his ears stopped ringing. What he saw was a very tall thin figure looking down at him from a room of pure white. The figure bent their neck and got right in the trolls face. The figure brought his left hand up to the trolls face, right next to his ear and snapped. The sound of a monstrous click sound right in the trolls ears hurt. The troll jumped back in fear but as soon as the click happened he saw a thing in his vision, a thing he new wasn't actually in the real world as it seemed to follow his eyes where ever he looked. It was, now i know this might sound stupid, I'm not here to imagine a story, I'm simply here to reenact the story of the troll. What he saw was a math problem, a grid was in his vision. It was a 4 by 6 grid.

 The tall shadow figure was now back where the troll saw him originally, he was no longer bent and he seemed to not have arms anymore, just a tall dark figure with a cloak. The troll then began to hear a voice which seemed to come from everywhere. It was a deep voice that was very muffled, it said "Do this math problem and go back to your world. Get it correct and everything will go back to normal, but fail; and I'll have your soul" The troll was about to have an adventure of a lifetime...

Step-by-step explanation:

I legit came up with this on the spot, did you like it? XD

May I have brainliest please :)

-3(3 - 10x)<br> Please Solve
BARSIC [14]
Since it is an expression and not an equation, you would just have to distribute the -3 to the two inside the parentheses.
The answer is -9 + 30x
