Answer:

The individuality of the finger print is due to the  ridge endings that differentiates one individual from another individual.

There are approximately 150 separate kinds of ridge found in general. Scientist identify the finger of the person by analyzing the two same fingerprints.

The application of finger print recognition helps in finding criminals by matching the finger print of the criminal and the finger print found on the crime scene.

The skin on the palmar surface of the hands and feet forms ridges, so-called papillary ridges, in patterns that are unique to each individual and which do not change over time. Even identical twins (who share their DNA) do not have identical fingerprints.

Put the following steps of bacterial specimen preparation and staining in order: a. fixation b. application of staining dyes c.
Inga [223]

Answer:

c. smear preparation

a. fixation

b. application of staining dyes

Explanation:

In the bacterial specimen preparation and staining order, the first step would be Smear preparation in which the smear of bacteria is formed on the slide.

Then the bacterial smear is heat-fixed so that the smear does not get washed off during the washing process in the staining procedure. After heat fixing the bacterial smear, the dyes are applied to the bacterial smear to stain the bacterial cells.

Therefore the correct order is-

c. smear preparation

a. fixation

b. application of staining dyes

A hypothetical three-step metabolic pathway consists of the intermediates W, X, Y, and Z, and the enzymes that catalyze the reac
GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

ZBWCYAX

Explanation:

Equation for the intermediates: Z↔W↔Y↔X

1) B catalyzes the breakdown of Z, therefore inhibiting B leads to the build up of Z.

2) If enzyme C is inactive then the organism will not  receive Y to grow, thus Y is a by-product of C.

3) If A is inhibited then W, Y and Z build except for X, thus it make sense that A catalyzes a reaction that leads to X as a by-product.

4) Inhibiting C leads to the reaction toward making Z and W, thus it catalyzes the breakdown of C directly and Z indirectly.

The drug cytochalasin B blocks the function of actin. Which of the following aspects of the cell cycle would be most disrupted b
Sladkaya [172]

The correct answer is: E) cleavage furrow formation and cytokinesis

Cytochalasin B (cytos-cell and chalasis-relaxation) is a molecule which inhibit network formation by actin filaments by blocking monomer addition. As a result, itshortens actin filaments. This molecule is involved in cytoplasmic division where it blocks the formation of contractile microfilaments. One of the microfilament’s function includes cytokinesis and formation of cleavage furrow so these functions are affected by cytochalasin B.
