When bases are same the exponents are added

According to this rule a^{m} .a^{n} =a^{m+n}

Here a is the base and m and n are the exponents

Bases at both places are same and there is a multiplication sign in between so the exponents are multiplied to give m+n

In the above question the last option that is to multiply the powers with same base add the exponents is correct

One dozen bananas weigh 3 pounds, how much do 2 bananas weigh?
pantera1 [17]

Answer: 50

Step-by-step explanation: If a dozen is 3 pounds then half a dozen would 6 which should be 1.50 lb. Now we need to know how much 1 banana weights. lets add all twelve until we have 3 pounds. 12 x 25 = 300 or 3.00 lb so we now know 2 bananas weight 50.

Which equation is true when r = 7 ?
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

7 = 49 ÷ r

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the equation that is true when r = 7, we need to find a number after the equals sign that is a multiple of 7.

Multiples of 7:

7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77...

Therefore, the only answer option in which the number after the equals sign is a multiple of 7 is:

7 = 49 ÷ r

To prove this, input r = 7 into each of the equations:

   6 = 30 ÷ r

⇒ 6 = 30 ÷ 7

⇒ 6 ≠ 4.285... ← incorrect!

   7 = 54 ÷ r

⇒ 7 = 54 ÷ 7

⇒ 7 ≠ 7.714... ← incorrect!

   7 = 49 ÷ r

⇒ 7 = 49 ÷ 7

⇒ 7 = 7 ← correct!

   9 = 72 ÷ r

⇒ 9 = 72 ÷ 7

⇒ 9 ≠ 10.285... ← incorrect!

The campus bookstore knows from the past several semesters that a certain elementary statistics book has a demand that is approx
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

$117

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

They buy these books for $105 each and sell them to unsuspecting undergraduates at $222 each

Marginal Profit = Marginal Revenue – Marginal Cost.

Marginal Profit = $222 - $105

Marginal Profit = $117

the marginal profit for a single elementary statistics book $117

For the remaining unsold books in the middle of the semester he bundles them up and sells to vendor in another country for $40 each for which he suffers a marginal loss of $105 - $40 = $65 each
