50 minutes doesn't matter at all, so don't pay attention to it.

You know that 36 miles is 48% of the distance, so you need to find out how many miles equals 100%.

You can write it as a ratio:
36 is to what as 48 is to 100.

Write it as fractions, and set them equal to each other.

36/x = 48/100
(cross multiply)
48x = 3600
(isolate the x, divide both sides by 48)

Your answer is 45 miles!

Linear Pair:

∠ 1 and ∠ 2

Vertical Angles:

∠ 1 and ∠ 3

Supplementary Angles:

∠ 7 and ∠ 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Linear Pair:

A linear pair of angles is formed when two lines intersect.

Two angles are said to be linear if they are adjacent angles formed by two intersecting lines.

The measure of a straight angle is 180 degrees, so a linear pair of angles must add up to 180 degrees.

Example

∠ 1 and ∠ 2           ∠ 8 and ∠ 5 ,etc

Vertical Angles:

The angles opposite each other when two lines cross.

They are always equal.

Example

∠ 1 and ∠ 3           ∠ 8 and ∠ 6 ,etc

Supplementary Angles:

Two Angles are Supplementary when they add up to 180 degrees.

Examples  two angles (140° and 40°)

All Linear pair are Supplementary angles

Example

∠ 7 and ∠ 6           ∠ 8 and ∠ 5 ,etc
