Venus is the only inner planet that has been explored by rovers

I don't know what this question is asking but this statement is false because venus is a planet made of hot gas that cannot be landed on. So venus has not been explored by rovers. (However Mars has been explored by rovers)

A harmonic wave is traveling along a rope. It is observed that the oscillator that generates the wave completes 43.0 vibrations
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

0.218

Explanation:

Given that

Total vibrations completed by the wave is 43 vibrations

Time taken to complete the vibrations is 33 seconds

Length of the wave is 424 cm = 4.24 m

to solve this problem, we first find the frequency.

Frequency, F = 43 / 33 hz

Frequency, F = 1.3 hz

Also, we find the wave velocity. Which is gotten using the relation,

Wave velocity = 4.24 / 15

Wave velocity = 0.283 m/s

Now, to get our answer, we use the formula.

Frequency * Wavelength = Wave Velocity

Wavelength = Wave Velocity / Frequency

Wavelength = 0.283 / 1.3

Wavelength = 0.218

How does a heat pump resemble a refrigeration system?
REY [17]
A heat pump is a device that is capable of transferring heat energy from a source of heat to what is known as the heat sink. It also moves thermal energy in the opposite direction of a spontaneous heat transfer through heat absorption from a cold space and releasing it to a warmer space.

When a heat pump is being utilized for heating, it employs the same principle with that of the refrigeration cycle used by an air conditioner or a refrigerator, but in the opposite direction since it releases heat into a conditioned space rather than the surrounding environment. Moreover, heat pump resembles much as refrigeration since it has the same components with the latter except for the presence of a reverse valve.

A ray of light incident in water strikes the surface separating water from air making an angle of 10 ° with the normal to the su
labwork [276]

Answer:

a

 \theta _2  = 13^o

b

 \theta _1  =32.94^o

c

 \theta_c  =  53.05^o

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The angle of incidence is  \theta_1 = 10^o

    The refractive index of water is  n_1 = 1.3

  Generally Snell's law is mathematically represented as

          n_1 sin(\theta_1) =  n_2 sin(\theta_ 2)

Here n_2 is the refractive index of air with value  n_2 = 1

         \theta_2  is the angle of refraction

So

        \theta _2  =  sin^{-1}[\frac{n_1 * sin(\theta _1)}{n_2} ]

=>     \theta _2  =  sin^{-1}[\frac{1.3 * sin(10)}{1} ]

=>     \theta _2  = 13^o

Given that the angle should not be greater than \theta _2 =45^o  then the angle of incidence will be

       \theta _1  =  sin^{-1}[\frac{n_2 * sin(\theta _2)}{n_1} ]

=>     \theta _1  =  sin^{-1}[\frac{1 * sin(45)}{1.3} ]

=>     \theta _1  =32.94^o

Generally for critical angle is mathematically represented as

        \theta_c  =  sin^{-1}[\frac{n_2}{n_1} ]

=>     \theta_c  =  sin^{-1}[\frac{1}{1.3} ]

=>     \theta_c  =  53.05^o
