Describe two risks involved in banking, and explain how banks can protect<br> against those risks.
Westkost [7]

<u>Major risks faced by banks:</u>

The major risks faced by banks include liquidity, market, operational, and credit risk.

<u>Credit risks:</u>

Credit risk is when the borrower does not repay the loan. The delayed payment of loans also comes under this category.

The bank generally conducts a back ground check and sanction loans to only those customers (business or individuals) who does not run out of income along the total period of loan. There are credit rating agencies that support the banks in assessing the creditworthiness of the borrower.

<u>Operational Risks:</u>

Operational risks refers to the operational failures of any banks day-to-day process. For example, payment to wrong accounts or external or internal fraud.

Banks now rely on technology-enabled risk surveillance. Using machine learning and advanced analytics, banks leverage tremendous trove of data to monitor bank’s entire operations automatically and continuously.

Research the life events of Rembrandt that affected his art.
bulgar [2K]

One of the most important painters in European art history, Rembrandt, lived in the<em> "</em><em>Dutch Golden Age</em><em>"</em> (<em>The Netherlands around the 17th century</em>), the nation was a top world power and influenced science, politics, commerce and culture in general, needless to say arts; this context allowed him to accomplish success at an early age, although he was also surrounded by personal tragedies; his childhood and home life were of big influence on his art; starting with being a successful business person who entered the lucrative market for portraiture, a genre which would make him famous, although later on he lost his fortune; he also suffered the death of 3 of his children at a short age, which affected his art altogether with the health and death of his wife.

The fact that he suffered from "<em>stereo blindness</em>" (<em>insufficient depth perception</em>) caused him to paint 3D scenes on Bi-dimensional surfaces, which made him a prodigy.
