It is raining at midnight, but the forecast for tomorrow and the next day is clear. Will it be sunny weather in 48 hours?
NemiM [27]

Answer: It will not.

Explanation:

The question says that it is raining at midnight. By that logic, the time is currently midnight at the time of the question.

Going by it being midnight, 48 hours from then will be midnight as well only 2 days later. There can be no sunny weather at midnight so no, it will not be sunny weather in 48 hours simply because the sun does not shine at night.

Could you help me find my running shoes? running is in italics It is a participle functioning as a noun. It is a participle func
elena55 [62]
A participle normally ends in -ing or -ed.
An infinitive is the simplest stem word of something.

An example of these would be running and run. Running is a participle and run is an infinitive.

Because you now know this, you can immediately eliminate anything that does not say participle, since we now know running is one. You can eliminate the last two choices. They are wrong.

Running can only ever be used as an adjective and a verb, never a noun. Adjectives are used to describe nouns and verbs are used to describe action that a subject takes.

Could you help me find my running shoes?

In this sentence, the subject is not running. The shoes are not literally running either.

Could you help me find my running shoes?

Running describes the word "shoes" making it an adjective. The shoes are being described as a pair of footwear the speaker wears when they go running.

This means that this is a participle functioning as an adjective.

Part 2: Summarizing an Author's Viewpoint in an Informational Text
Quiz
3
WIB
liraira [26]

Answer:

Musical lyrics.

Explanation:

"The Great Wave", a famous painting of a seascape with Mt. Fiji in the background was done by Hokusai, a Japanese painter. This painting reflected the newly emerging nation of Japan and how it is 'coming' into the world.

When Neil MacGregor presented this painting to the audience in Japan, the director of London's British Museum presents how this painting came to emerge. He also focused on how the Asian nation 'grew' slowly while the world is occupied with 'wars'. And in his rhythmic presentation, MacGregor used a musical lyric as his outside source.

Thus, the correct answer is the third option.
