Aerobic exercise refers to cardio, which means exercise that requires pumping of the oxygenated blood through the heart to deliver the oxygen to the muscles which were working. Out of the given options, jumping rope is an example of an anaerobic exercise.

This is done for many reasons to help in improving the strength, growth, avoiding aging, and developing muscles. This can be segregated into 2 kinds, namely, aerobic and anaerobic exercise.

Aerobic exercise refers to those exercises which require energy. When an individual exercise aerobically then the body utilizes glycogen as well as fat as fuel. Anaerobic exercise, on the other hand, refers to those exercises wherein oxygen is absent. When an individual exercise anaerobically, glycogen is utilized as a fuel. During this, the body accumulates lactic acid that causes discomfort as well as fatigue at the comfort levels. For this reason, high-intensity exercise occurs in short bursts. Common examples of this are weight lifting, sprinting, and push-ups.
