To do that you should put it in slope intercept form and then graph, you should already know how to do this.

If they are the exact same equation then there are infinte soltuions
if they have same slope but different y intercept then there are 0 solutions
if different slope then 1 soltuiosn

basically
if ax+by=c and ex+fy=g, when simplified
1. a=e and b=f and c=g, then infinite solutions
2. a=e and b=f and c≠g, then 0 solutions
3. if a≠e or/and b≠f and/or c≠g then 1 solutions
confusing

a.
3x-y=1 and 3y+3=9x
3x-y=1 and 3=9x-3y
3x-y=1 and 9x-3y=3
3x-y=1 and 3x-y=1
same equtions
infinite solutions

b.
y+4x=7 and -2y-4=8x
y+4x=7 and -4=8x+2y
y+4x=7 and 8x+2y=-4
y+4x=7 and 4x+y=-2
y+4x=7 and y+4x=-2
same slope but differen y int
0 solutions

c.
4y=3x+4 and 8y-6x=8
-3x+4y=4 and 8y-6x=8
4y-3x=4 and 8y-6x=8
4y-3x=4 and 4y-3x=4
same
inifninte soltuions

VARVARA [1.3K]

Answer:

x=510

Step-by-step explanation:

You can first combine like terms to get x/17=30

The inverse operation of division is multiplication so you can multiply by 17 on both sides to get your final answer: x=510

How does this polynomial identity work on numerical relationships?
(y + x) (ax + b)
Serggg [28]

Let us take 'a' in the place of 'y' so the equation becomes

(y+x) (ax+b)

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

(a + x) (ax + b)

Step 2: Proof

Checking polynomial identity.

(ax+b )(x+a) = FOIL

(ax+b)(x+a)

ax^2+a^2x is the First Term in the FOIL

ax^2 + a^2x + bx + ab

(ax+b)(x+a)+bx+ab is the Second Term in the FOIL

Add both expressions together from First and Second Term

= ax^2 + a^2x + bx + ab

Step 3: Proof

(ax+b)(x+a) = ax^2 + a^2x + bx + ab

Identity is Found .

Trying with numbers now

(ax+b)(x+a) = ax^2 + a^2x + bx + ab

((2*5)+8)(5+2) =(2*5^2)+(2^2*5)+(8*5)+(2*8)

((10)+8)(7) =(2*25)+(4*5)+(40)+(16)

(18)(7) =(50)+(20)+(56)

126 =126

Andrews [41]
44% of 8.79 =
0.44 (8.79) = 3.87 (thats rounded)

8% of 2.36 =
0.08 (2.36) = 0.19 (rounded)

25 students, homework 3 times per week, 12 problems each assignment
3(12) = 36 problems per student...36(25) = 900 problems for 25 students.
ur answer is 900
