= 18 * 4^{2} + 6^{2}          brackets first

= 18 * 16 + 36      next exponents

= 288 + 36           then multiplication

= 324                   finally addition

Lisa was right, she used BEDMAS properly while Rob treated the (9 - 3)^{2} as (9^{2} - 3^{2}). This made it 18 * 16 + (81 - 9) = 288 + 72 = 360.

A rancher is ordering a box of cube-shaped salt licks. the edge length of each salt lick are 5/12 foot. is the volume of one sal
strojnjashka [21]

Answer:

0.0723 cubic feet < 1 cubic foot.

Step-by-step explanation:

A cube-shaped salt lick is ordered by a rancher and the length of each salt lick is \frac{5}{12} foot.

Therefore, the side length of each salt lick of cube-shape is \frac{5}{12} foot.

So, the volume of each salt lick is (\frac{5}{12} \times \frac{5}{12} \times \frac{5}{12}) = \frac{125}{1728} = 0.0723 cubic feet.

Hence, this volume is less than 1 cubic foot. (Answer)

Find the unknow side of the right triangle 2. b=73.6 cm b= 19.0
shusha [124]
Assumed 73.6cm is the hypotenuse.

a^{2} + b^{2} = c^{2}
19^{2} + b^{2} = 73.6^{2}
b^{2} = 73.6^{2} -19^{2}
b^{2} = 5055.96
b = 71.1

Assumed 73.6cm is not the hypotenuse.
a^{2} + b^{2} = c^{2}
19^{2} + 73.6^{2} = c^{2}
c^{2} = 73.6^{2} +19^{2}
c^{2} = 5777.96
c = 76.0

An operator in the plant has a monthly salary of $2575. Thirty three percent (33%) of her salary is deducted for income tax.
loris [4]
33% of the salary = (33/100) * 2575
                             = 849.75

So the income tax = 849.75 dollars

If you were to add 5 to my number and then divide by 4, you would get 7
Norma-Jean [14]
Let's make an equation. T will be the number.
(T+5)/4=7
Let's multiply both sides by 4 to get T by itself.
T+5=28
Subtract 5 from both sides.
T=23
Your number is 23.
