Subtract: (450 - 8a + 7b) - (5a - 2b)
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

−13a+9b+450

Explanation:

Let's simplify step-by-step.

450−8a+7b−(5a−2b)

Distribute the Negative Sign:

=450−8a+7b+−1(5a−2b)

=450+−8a+7b+−1(5a)+−1(−2b)

=450+−8a+7b+−5a+2b

Combine Like Terms:

=450+−8a+7b+−5a+2b

=(−8a+−5a)+(7b+2b)+(450)

=−13a+9b+450

What are making these Black Power groups so angry?
Elenna [48]

Answer:

For the first, I would say being poorly represented.

For the second, ignorance and morals.

Explanation:

A lot of people have been raised to demand a change when they see injustices, some might go at it in a violent way, others might approach it in a more peaceful way. One thing you have to know about making big decisions, is that you will never please everyone. Someone is always going to be mad. It depends on their moral values as people. If you saw something that you thought was morally wrong, you would be upset too. They have tried peaceful protests and weren't heard, now they choose to incite violence because they have a voice and are represented in the media that way.

It all leads down to morals. The media says that if you aren't for it, you're automatically against it. If something the media does or activists do doesn't allign with people's morals, they choose the complete opposite because they think that's their only option.

Miranda v. Arizona has a very significant impact today. This case ruled that any arrested person must be read his/her Miranda Rights (You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. Etc.). This is due to the fact that many people self-incriminated themselves because they were unaware of their rights. This lead to innocent people being accused of crimes.

Hope this helps!

Which idea is central to the theme that Lincoln develops in the speech?
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

A.

Explanation:

And I quote, " Neither anticipated that the cause of the conflict might cease with, or even before, the conflict itself should cease. Each looked for an easier triumph, and a result less fundamental and astounding ". The war, as we know, Lincoln was opposed to. He didn't want it to happen. But he felt as if it had too, if slavery was to be domlished, but it ended up in a much longer and bloodier war then he and the south had hope for.
