It was accepted because representatives of the American colonies, with the exception of Georgia, drafted a document to the English king George III in which they protested against the abusive measures, called intolerable laws, imposed by the English, but reaffirmed the loyalty to the English king. The English crown imposed more abusive measures on the colonies as a result of its discontent.

As a result, the colonial elite met again and concluded that it was no longer possible to remain under English rule in view of the crown's disrespect for colonial interests. Thus, the declaration of independence was issued, which was issued on July 4, 1776.

The process of independence of the English colonies led to an armed conflict with England, which sought to secure its rule over the colony. The war of independence of the United States extended until 1781, with a battle in the city of Yorktown.

With the end of the war, the English signed the Treaty of Paris in 1783, in which they recognized the independence of their former colony.

How do you think reuniting the United States after the civil war should have happened?
Margaret [11]

Answer:In 1861, the United States faced its greatest crisis to that time. The northern and southern states had become less and less alike--socially, economically, politically. The North had become increasingly industrial and commercial while the South had remained largely agricultural. More important than these differences, however, was African-American slavery. Southerners generally wanted to maintain and even expand the institution. Thus, slavery became the focal

Which colonists wanted to fight the British for American independence? a. Loyalists c. Separatists b. Patriots d. Nationalists
katen-ka-za [31]

The correct answer is B) Patriots.

The colonists who wanted to fight the British for American independence were Patriots.

In opposition to Loyalists who supported the presence of the British monarchy and the English government in the colonies, Patriots were American colonists that wanted independence from the British king.

Patriots were tired of the many injustices and heavy taxation imposed by the English government, as was the case of teh Navigation Acts, the Stamp Act, the Tea Act, and many others.

Patriots were also furious that they had to pay taxes but had no voice or representation in the British Parliament. Indeed, all these were major causes for the beginning of the Revolutionary War of Independence.
