21. Which step in cellular respiration occurs outside of the inner membrane space of the cell mitochondria? a. Krebs Cycle c. Tr
Marrrta [24]

Answer: c. Transition Reaction

Explanation:

During the transition reaction, Acetyl-CoA is formed and connects the first stage of glycolysis with the Krebs Cycle (Citric Acid Cycle). In the presence of oxygen, pyruvate enters the mitochondria and is oxidized to form a compound of 2 carbon, acetate, with energy and CO2 release. During this process, the acetate binds to a coenzyme(coenzyme A (CoA)) - forming the acetyl-coenzyme A.

The 3 steps:

1. pyruvate is oxidized and forms acetate with liberation of CO2;

2. the energy released in the oxidation of pyruvate is stored in the reduction reaction of NAD+ to NADH + H+

3. The acetate molecule combines with coenzyme A to form acetyl-coenzyme A.

Why is potassium able to diffuse easily in and out of cells? because potassium has a greater concentration in the intracellular
umka2103 [35]

The answer is Because the resting plasma membrane is more permeable to potassium

Plasma membrane is more permeable to potassium(kalium) than sodium(natrium)  which makes it easier to move between intracellular fluid and extracellular fluid. But the concentration of the ion still regulated strictly by the cell using pump and transporter in their membrane. The pump is doing active movement(against gradient of concentration) and need ATP to do so.

Why are flowering plants more efficient at pollinating than gymnosperms?
natima [27]
Bees can get in and out, carrying pollen with them from flower to flower pollinating as they go. On the the other hand, Gymnosperms have to let their seeds somehow travel away and plant itself, or with the help of nature, they plant themselfs
But it is easier for those flowering plants to pollinate.
