Which explanation of the solar system best fits the observations of the planets and how they orbit the sun?Question options:The
diamong [38]

Answer: The planets formed at the center of a collapsing spinning cloud of gas and dust.

The most accepted theory so far, in relation to the formation of our solar system is that it was originated by the contraction of a cloud of interstellar gas due to its own gravity.

To understand it better:

According to this theory, a cloud of gas and interstellar dust began to shrink due to its own gravity. This led to the increase in the temperature of the system, which began to rotate forming a large gas sphere in the center (the Sun) with a flat disk around it.

This is how the Sun formed from the sphere in the center and the planets formed from the disk orbiting in the same plane.

Stars seen in the night sky appear to move ____ relative to polaris.
Fed [463]

The answer is counter clockwise relative to the polaris. The polaris, also known as northern star would seem a bit more stable on the night sky as the point of vision is up north, the stars however around this would look as if it was rotating, left to right but since the earth is round in shape it follows a circular pattern.

Tycho Brahe built the first what?
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

Brahe showed irregularities in the Moon's orbit and discovered a new star in the Cassiopeia formation. Brahe invented many instruments such as the Tyconian Quadrant which were widely copied and led to the invention of improved observational equipment. In 1600, Tyco Brahe hired Johannes Kepler as his assistant.

Kinetic Theory
a. Briefly state what the kinetic theory says.
Lynna [10]

Answer:

Kinetic Theory states that pressure is not cause by molecule that push molecule to each other

Explanation:

Kinetic Theory

it is also known as kinetic molecular theory or the collision theory

Kinetic theory explain you property of gas such as

(1) pressure, (2) temperature, (3) volume

Kinetic Theory states that pressure is not cause by molecule that push molecule to each other and pressure is caused by molecule colliding with the each other and with the container

3 component of kinetic theory are

 1. when the molecules collide, there no energy is gain or lost
 2. In the gas molecule take approx negligible amount of space
 3. molecules are in constant and linear motion

The gravitational force acting on various masses is measured on different planets. Measured values for the forces acting on the
tatyana61 [14]

we Know that gravitational field strength(g) at a point on a planet is equal to gravitational force exerted per unit mass placed at that point.

It Means,

g=F/m

Here,

g=gravitational field strength

F=Gravitational force

m=Mass

Case A

planet force =10 and mass= .5

g1=F/m

g1=10/.5

=100/5

g1=20m/s

case B

F=30 and m=2

therefore g2=30/2

g2=15m/s^2

case C

F=45 and m=3

g3=45/3

=15m/s^2

case D

g4=60/6

g4=10m/s^2

from above results it is clear that the gravitational field strength of planet D is minimum which is 10m/s^2 and gravitational field strength of planet A is maximum which is 20m/s^2
