Explanation: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is located within the Department of Homeland Security and formed on April 1st, 1979. FEMA is responsible for coordinating the federal government’s response to natural and manmade disasters, charged with providing both immediate and long-term assistance to local and state governments as well as individuals, it also conducts programs to help prepare for disasters with their motto "Prepared, Responsive, Committed". FEMA's emergency response is based on small, decentralized teams trained in such areas as the National Disaster Medical System(NDMS), Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), Disaster Mortuary Operations Response Team (DMORT), Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT), and Mobile Emergency Response Support (MERS). FEMA has contributed to help people in any disaster which is happening in the United States almost every year along FEMA established since 1979 like Southern Florida Hurricanes (2004), Hurricane Katrina (2005), Buffalo Snowstorm (2006), Dumas, Arkansas, tornadoes (2007), California wildfires (2007), Hurricane Maria (2017), Hurricane Harvey (2017).
