Answer:

Not a Solution

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given two inequalities which are

y ≤ x -4                        .............(i)

-x+3y>-4                       ............(ii)

Also we are given an ordered pair which is (5, 1/3)

Now from this order pair we see that

x = 5 and y = 1/3

Because in an ordered pair the first element represents the x value while the second value represent the y value

Now to find whether this order pair satisfies the given inequality or not we have to plugin the values of x and y in both inequalities separately and see whether it satisfies the in equality or not

Taking First inequality:

which is

y ≤ x -4

Putting x = 5 and y = 1/3 in inequality

it becomes

\frac{1}{3} ≤ 5 -4

\frac{1}{3} ≤ 1             ∵ which is true

So this inequality holds the order pair

Taking second inequality:

which is

-x+3y> -4

Putting x = 5 and y = 1/3 in inequality

it becomes

-5+\frac{1*3}{3} >  -4

-5+1 >-4

-4>-4                            ∵ which is false because - 4 = - 4

So this inequality does not holds the order pair

So the order pair is not solution of the given inequalities because of the reason that second inequality is not satisfied

Roland says the number of cups of iced tea t depends on the number of tea bags b. He says the equation represents the relationsh
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

I think Roland is correct in his statement.

Step-by-step explanation:

Roland says the number of cups of iced tea t depends on the number of tea bags b and he says the equation represents the relationship between the number of tea bags b and the cups of iced tea t = \frac{b}{1.5}.

I think Roland is correct in his statement and this is because here t is a function of b i.e. t = f(b) and hence, the number of cups of iced tea t depends on the number of tea bags b. (Answer)

Ricardo spends 2 2/3 hours practicing soccer on
ladessa [460]

Answer:

10 7/12 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

so we have to multiply 2 2/3 twice since he does that many hours for 2 days. We then have to multiply 1 3/4 three times since he does that many hours for 3 days. Lets first convert 2 2/3 into a mixed fraction. 2 2/3 = 3 times 2 =6 +2=8 over 3. 1 3/4=4 times 1=4+3=7 over 4. 8/3 times 2 equals 16/3 which eqials

5 1/3 hours. 7/4 times 3 equals to 21/4 which equals to 5 1/4. Lets now add

5 1/3 and 5 1/4. 5+5=10 but the fractions are not the same. Therefore, we need to make it to a common denominator. 4 times 3 equals to 12 so 4/12 plus 3/12 equals 7/12. Final answer equals to 10 7/12.

Which weighs the least 2 centigrams 2 grams 2 hectograms 2 kilograms or 2 milligrams
Mekhanik [1.2K]
To answer the question above, use conversion factors and dimensional analysis. In this given, it is easier to use grams as the basis.

a. (2 centrigrams) x (1 gram / 100 centigrams) = 0.02 grams
b. 2 grams
c. (2 hectograms) x (1 gram / 0.01 hectogram) = 200 grams
d. (2 kilograms) x (1 gram / 0.001 kilogram) = 2000 grams
e. (2 milligrams) x (1 gram / 1000 millimeters) = 0.002 grams

Thus, the answer is 2 milligrams.
