Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

People have no control over how much they are hurt, how much they love, how much they hate, nor how much they want. They aren't in control of other's actions, or emotions/feelings. They have no control over the future. Sure, we might be able to slightly edit the future, but unless everyone shares a goal and a will, then you won't be able to have a great future.

Also, we aren't in control of gravity.

Making prediction is an important reading comprehension strategy and you need to identify the literary theme in order to do so. The theme is the reason why the author has written the piece; the message the author wants to convey through the story. If you know the theme, you can make prediction about how the story will progress.

In the Happy Prince, the theme is that appearance does not always represent one's true feeling; for example The big metal statue of the Happy Prince “feels” the compassion and sacrifices himself for the oppressed.

This is from the Joy Luck Club im guessing??? the primary conflict is between the narrator and her mother, the contention that comes with arguing weather or not loosing more or less pieces results in a better or worse game. the secondary contention is subliminal. it is the pressure the traditional mother puts on her child to not only win, but to always win. Her mother lived in a place and time where only those who did the best survived. the narrator only wants to win, but is willing to make sacrifices to get there. There is the tension and misunderstanding between these two generations.
