Find a gradient of a line that is parallel and perpendicular to this line with this gradient of 3 1/3

a parallel line has the same gradient, so the gradient would be 3 1/3

a perpendicular line has the negative inverse gradient of the original (eg. if the original gradient is 4/3 then the perpendicular gradient would be -3/4 (all you have to do is change the +/- sign and flip the fraction), so in your case the gradient of the perpendicular line would be -3/10 (since 3 1/3 = 10/3)

The bases of a right prism are rhombii, each with area A = 44cm2. The height of the prism is h = 2.3dm. Find the volume, V, of t
Natali [406]

Step-by-step explanation:

did you make a typo, or do you actually mean dm ?

1 dm = 10 cm

in any case, in a right prism object it does not matter what shape the bases are.

the volume is always

base area × height

so, if you did not make a typo, then

height = 2.3 dm = 23 cm

and the volume of the prism is

44 × 23 = 1012 cm³

but if you did make a typo and

height = 2.3 cm,

then the volume of the prism is

44 × 2.3 = 101.2 cm³

10/4=x+8/x-1<br><br> Solve please
jasenka [17]

Answer: x = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question 10/4 =8 + x/ x -1,

Step 1: cross multiply

10(x-1) = 4(8+x)

Step 2: open the bracket

10x - 10 = 32 + 4x

Step 3: combine like terms

10x - 4x = 32 + 10

6x= 42

Step 4: Divide both sides by 6

x = 42/6

x = 7

Check:

Substitute x=7 into the equation

10/4 = 8+7/7-1

10/4= 15/6

2.5 = 2.5

Simplify: -6( 5 3 x + 4) A) -10x - 24 B) -10x + 24 C) -10x + 4 D) -10x - 4
jeyben [28]

Answer:

Option A will be correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here in this problem we have to get the simplified expression of - 6(\frac{5}{3}x + 4).

Now, - 6(\frac{5}{3}x + 4)

= - 6 \times \frac{5}{3} x + (- 6) \times 4

{Using the Distributive Property of multiplication which gives, a(b + c) = ab + ac}

= - (3 \times 2) \times \frac{5}{3} x + (- 6) \times 4

= - (2)(5)x - 24

= - 10x - 24 (Answer)

Therefore, option A will be correct. (Answer)
