Answer:

Should be 40mph average

Step-by-step explanation:

If a student was driving 50mph a quarter of the way there, then 10mph the rest, that means that you can divide the drive like this. You have 4 parts of the drive, 3 of which are being drived at 50mph and the other at 10mph. You have to find the average using this equation.

(50+50+50+10)/4

160/4=40

lol i got way to complicated with this question ツ

Pretend you are coaching a sports team—you pick the sport. What are some ways you would use matrices on the job?
gayaneshka [121]
A matrix is basically a table of columns and rows. One way to use an array is to tabulate information concerning two variables, for example, sizes of shoes and person's height, or price of different kinds of vegetables over 12 months, etc. So for your problem, think of two variables that you can tabulate in your sports team. If you are out of ideas, read the sports page.

Help please

Factorise

x²-x-56

its due in 4 minutes
Iteru [2.4K]

Answer:

(x-8)(x+7)

Step-by-step explanation:

using quadratic formula we have

x= \frac{-b+-\sqrt{b^{2}-4*a*c}}{2*a}

we have:

x^2-x-56=0

a= 1 b=-1 c=-56

so we have:

x=(-(-1)+-sqrt(1^1-4*(1)*(-56)))/(2*1)

x=1+-sqrt(1-4*(-56))/(2)

x=(1+-sqrt(225))/2

x=(1+-15)/2

so we have the roots:

x1=(1+15)/2 =8

x2=(1-15)/2=-7

so the answer is (x-8)(x+7)
