All you have to do is divide 5.4 by 0.4 which would be 13.5 bricks

Help with 1 and 3 if possible show work
Vinvika [58]
1)

\bf \qquad \textit{Compound Interest Earned Amount}
\\\\
A=P\left(1+r\right)^{t}
\quad
\begin{cases}
A=\textit{compounded amount}\\
P=\textit{original amount deposited}\to &\$600\\
r=rate\to 1.6\%\to \frac{1.6}{100}\to &0.016\\
t=years\to &2
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
A=600\left(1+0.016\right)^{2}

3)

\bf V(t)=1350(1.017)^t\implies
\begin{array}{llllll}
V(t)&=&1350(&1 +& 0.017&)^t\\
A&=&P(&1+&\boxed{r}&)^t
\end{array}

notice the rate "r"... now, is in decimal format, as you saw on 1) is just r/100 so 1.6% was really 1.6/100 or 0.016  anyhow

to get the percentage form, just multiply it by 100

Find the value(s) of the variable(s). Write your answer(s) in simplest radical form.
Romashka [77]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

12). By applying Pythagoras theorem in the given right triangle,

      Hypotenuse² = (Leg 1)² + (Leg 2)²

      x² = 7² + 7²

      x² = 2(7)²

      x = \sqrt{2(7)^{2} }

      x = 7\sqrt{2}

13). By sine rule,

      sin(60)° = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

      \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}=\frac{9\sqrt{3} }{y}

      y = \frac{18\sqrt{3} }{\sqrt{3} }

      y = 18

      By cosine rule,

      cos(60)° = \frac{\text{Adjacent side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

      \frac{1}{2}=\frac{x}{y}

      x = \frac{y}{2}

      x = \frac{18}{2}=9

14). By applying Pythagoras theorem in the given right triangle,

      12² = x² + x²

      144 = 2x²

      72 = x²

      x = √72

      x = 6√2
