Mathematics

15 4/10....so u know it is either gonna round to 15 or 16. It all depends on ur fraction. If 4/10 is larger or equal to 1/2, ur number rounds to 16....but if 4/10 is less then 1/2, ur answer stays 15.

4/10 reduces to 2/5.....little clue...**.if the numerator is less then half of the denominator, then ur fraction is less then 1/2. But if ur numerator is more then half of the denominator, then ur fraction is more then 1/2.

so ur numerator is 2 and ur denominator is 5.......2 is less then half of 5 because half of 5 is 2.5.....therefore, 2/5 is less then 1/2.

so that means 15 4/10 rounded to the nearest whole number is 15.

Hiiii.. please help me with this limit question
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

π

Step-by-step explanation:

Solving without L'Hopital's rule:

lim(x→0) sin(π cos²x) / x²

Use Pythagorean identity:

lim(x→0) sin(π (1 − sin²x)) / x²

lim(x→0) sin(π − π sin²x) / x²

Use angle difference formula:

lim(x→0) [ sin(π) cos(-π sin²x) − cos(π) sin(-π sin²x) ] / x²

lim(x→0) -sin(-π sin²x) / x²

Use angle reflection formula:

lim(x→0) sin(π sin²x) / x²

Now we multiply by π sin²x / π sin²x.

lim(x→0) [ sin(π sin²x) / x² ] (π sin²x / π sin²x)

lim(x→0) [ sin(π sin²x) / π sin²x] (π sin²x / x²)

lim(x→0) [ sin(π sin²x) / π sin²x] lim(x→0) (π sin²x / x²)

π lim(x→0) [ sin(π sin²x) / π sin²x] [lim(x→0) (sin x / x)]²

Use identity lim(u→0) (sin u / u) = 1.

π (1) (1)²

π

Solving with L'Hopital's rule:

If we plug in x = 0, the limit evaluates to 0/0.  So using L'Hopital's rule:

lim(x→0) [ cos(π cos²x) (-2π cos x sin x) ] / 2x

lim(x→0) [ -π cos(π cos²x) sin(2x) ] / 2x

-π/2 lim(x→0) [ cos(π cos²x) sin(2x) ] / x

Again, the limit evaluates to 0/0.  So using L'Hopital's rule one more time:

-π/2 lim(x→0) [ cos(π cos²x) (2 cos(2x)) + (-sin(π cos²x) (-2π cos x sin x)) sin(2x) ] / 1

-π/2 lim(x→0) [ 2 cos(π cos²x) cos(2x) + π sin(π cos²x) sin²(2x) ]

-π/2 (-2)

π

Answer choice (A)5/30 (B)3/17 (C) 8/30 (D) 16/30
ratelena [41]
<h3>Answer: (C) 8/30</h3>

===================================================

Explanation:

There are 5+3 = 8 people in choir and running club. I added the values in the overlapped region of the circles "choir" and "running club".

This is out of 2+5+6+7+3+4+3 = 30 people total.

Divide the two results to form the fraction 8/30

Ideally we should reduce to get 4/15, but your teacher has chosen not to reduce.
