Answer:

The Democratic-Republican Party was an early US political party, which advocated states’ rights and limiting the strength of the federal government.

Explanation:

The Democratic-Republican Party was a political party in the United States which was the country's dominant party from the late 18th century to the 1820s.

The party was founded in 1792 by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison as an opposition party to the Federalist Party of Alexander Hamilton and John Adams. The party fought primarily against the Federalists in the field of foreign policy. For example, the party opposed the Jay Treaty and the pro-British policy of the Federalists. Another point of contention between the two parties was the rights in which the individual states of the union could retain for themselves instead of ceding to the central government. The Democratic Republicans were in favor of more rights for the states.

For Question 3, your answer should be D.

Many European powers divided their territories based on resources instead of tribes, which caused tribes that were hostile with each other to be placed under the same rule. This led to conflicts between Native African tribes as they were natural enemies who fought for the same resources and land.

Why is the Gideon decision regarded as a historic civil liberties victory
nasty-shy [4]

According to Oyez, "The Sixth Amendment's guarantee of a right to assistance of counsel applies to criminal defendants in state court by way of the Fourteenth Amendment."

So, this is a major victory as it protects criminal defendants in a whole new court of law.
